Government of Qatar
The Consulate General of the State of Qatar opened in New York in August 2013. The Consulate provides Qatari citizens with any assistance they might need during their stay in New York and in the other seventeen states (New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri) that falls under our jurisdiction; the assistance includes but not limited to issuing emergency travel documents, and helping distressed Qatari citizens.
At the Consulate General of Qatar in New York, we also serve as a window on the development of Qatar and its bilateral relations with the United States. We serve as a bridge to foster and enhance practical cooperation and facilitate development in a variety of sectors including economic, cultural, educational, and trade between Qatar and states within the east coast of the U.S. including but not limited to New York, Illinois and Massachusetts.
